To join in the spirit of the season, we are offering glow in the dark paints throughout the month of October! Glow in the dark paint is purely optional, and does not cost extra.
The Moon Walk technique is reminiscent of Michael Jackson’s moon walk, where he appears to be going one direction while actually going in another. In translation to your painting, this technique involves gliding a large amount of paint on top of other paint. Leann Schmidt used this technique to create large moons in her works from the Shining in the Sky series, which you can see in this example. However, your painting doesn’t have to look like a moon at all. You can use any combination of colors that you like, and it can cover the whole canvas, a shape that you create, a triangle, a zig-zag, or whatever ideas you come up with. You can have any color background that you like, or just fill up the canvas while walking the paint around. As with all paint pours, you can expect some interesting cells to form in your painting.
During the month of October, discover the moon walk technique with glow in the dark paint! In this class we will show you how to set up your canvas and prepare your paint for a dirty pour. Different pouring techniques will be discussed and can be applied, then watch it flow and glow!
Artistic skills not required. Mix and match your own acrylic paint colors. No two paintings will look alike. Your painting will be fun to look at and talk about for years to come!
Art apron and all other supplies included. Wear your favorite clothing to paint in!
No paint brushes will be used or harmed during this process. No straight lines will be drawn.
